To fully utilize the service, several specific skills and equipment are required.
These requirements aim to ensure efficient handling of BMW's CAS system electronic data.
- Electronics and IT: Knowledge in electronics and IT is necessary to read and write FLASH and EEPROM data of the CAS.
- CAS Reader: A BDM EEPROM reader and FLASH reader for CAS are required. An affordable and functional model is sufficient.
- Proficiency in BMW software: Familiarity with BMW software such as INPA, NCSEXPERT, and ISTA is necessary to perform specific operations on the vehicle components.
- CAS and DME/DDE Synchronization: After implementing the new EEPROM and FLASH on the CAS3+, a synchronization procedure between the CAS and DME/DDE is required to enable the vehicle's startup.
- Optional: Vehicle coding synchronization: for overall consistency in the system.
These requirements are crucial to ensure proper vehicle operation. The absence of specific skills or appropriate equipment could compromise CAS data read and write operations.
If you do not possess the skills, we can perform the necessary manipulations for migration to a CAS3+ on your behalf:
